How It Works

Step to a rhythm, but no dancey moves. We use light to heavier hand weights and body weight to build up those muscles! For those of us without the patience for 60+ minutes of yoga, the last 15 minutes of class we streeeetch.

Low to moderate intensity strength training exercises are essential to prevent reduction in muscle mass, muscle strength, and sarcopenia (loss of skeletal muscle mass). How It Works

Aqua Zumba® blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn’t miss! Our Aqua Zumba classes happen mostly in the summer at outdoor pools. 2018 summer season begins June 2018. Currently we have indoor classes at the YMCA. Check the schedule page for days/times.

There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba®class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.
